Verification Limit Exceeded - SheerID and Figma are ignoring me

Hi,

I am an educator using Figma for my class and can’t verify - I’m the only one unable to edit the shared board which is frustrating. I have emailed both SheerID and the Figma education team multiple times. SheerID keeps resolving my ticket with no explanation or solution. I think I might have initially been blocked because I am overseas using a VPN or because my legal name is different from my school name? I’m just guessing, goodness knows why, they won’t tell me…

 

A disappointing experience. Please help reset the verification limit asap - we’re moving through the semester already.

I understand that your education verification has been denied and that SheerID hasn’t provided a clear explanation. I also understand that the response from our Education team has taken longer than expected.

 

I can see your support tickets (#1720395 and #1739129) on my end.

For reference, SheerID verification may not work properly when connected to a VPN, as mentioned in the Troubleshooting verification section in Figma for Education guide.

I’ll go ahead and escalate this internally so the team has full visibility and can prioritize your ticket accordingly. Someone from the Education team should be in touch with you soon.

Thank you - just an idea as it seems like SheerID has been causing an issue for many people. If there could be a way for Figma to allow temporary edit access during troubleshooting, that would really help a lot of folks.
