"Verification limit exceeded" issue, SheerID not helping

Dear Figma Support Team,

I am a student at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, majoring in Design (second year, expected graduation: 2028). I urgently need access to Figma's education plan for coursework, but I’ve been completely blocked by the SheerID verification process.

Here’s what has happened so far:

  • I used Figma's education plan for a year and when it was time to reverify I submitted the verification form, but when I submitted my documents, there was an error. I tried it two more times and it gave an error. When I made another try, it said "verification limit exceeded".

  • I reached SheerID multiple times and each time their response was "While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed."

  • The issue was not resolved by SheerID and I am still getting the "verification limit exceeded" when I try to re-verify.

  • I went through the Figma forum discussions where I came to know many others are facing the same problem and I can directly let the Figma education team know about this issue.

  • I have also tried replying to SheerID’s email and CC education@figma.com but there was no response from figma’s side. I am posting this problem in the forum as a last resort as I’ve tried everything told in other conversations about this issue.

I understand that SheerID manages the verification process, but since Figma relies on them as a verification partner, it is Figma’s responsibility that the users are able to access their services.

I kindly request your intervention to help resolve this matter. I am ready to provide any required documentation or verification proof directly to Figma if necessary.

I truly appreciate Figma’s commitment to supporting students, which is why this experience has been disappointing. I trust that your team will take this issue seriously and assist me in completing the verification process so I can continue my coursework without further delay.
