Verification Limit Exceeded | Figma Education No reply

Hi,

I’m reaching out for help applying the Education plan to my Figma account, as I’m currently stuck on the Free plan despite being successfully verified as a student through SheerID.

Here’s a summary of the situation:

  • I previously had a Professional plan, which has now been fully canceled and expired.

  • I completed student verification through SheerID, and my verification was approved.

  • However, my Figma account still appears as Free, and I’m unable to access Education plan features.

SheerID has confirmed that my verification is valid and active, and advised me to contact Figma directly to update my account status. Below are the verification details they provided:

  • Verified email: [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII]

  • SheerID Request ID: 69194d08f3823b601f34acfc

  • Date verified: November 16, 2025

I’ve already tried signing out and back in, clearing my browser cache, and using the verification link, but the plan has not been applied.

I need help applying the Education plan to my account please. I’d like to continue editing my Figma files under the student plan.

I wrote directly to education@figma received no answer. Please help!!!!

I understand that you’re having trouble accessing the Education plan even though your student status has already been verified through SheerID, and that the response from our Education team has taken longer than expected.

 

I can see your support tickets (#1725653 and #1711955) related to this issue on my end.

I’ll go ahead and escalate your request internally so it can be prioritized. Someone from the team should be in touch with you soon to review this.

I just checked internally with our team, and they recommend filling out this form for your request: Request to Move Figma EDU Status.

Our Education team handles all requests to update the email on a verified EDU account, and requests are reviewed in the order they’re received.
