Verification Limit Exceeded

Hi I use Figma education, however it rejected my first attempt to verify so therefore I reached out to sheerID. I got manually approved and it never updated on the Figma website… I even got a manual approval code but it won’t let me do anything. I emailed the education team to Figma multiple times and have not gotten a response so I went back to SheerID and the only response I seem to get is “contact Figma” in which I cannot get ahold of… I need help, my class I take in school is purely just Figma based and I truly need access to do anything in the class. Please help!!!

I can see your support ticket  #1671925, and I’m happy to escalate this internally. Before I do, could you please double-check a couple of common things that sometimes cause this issue:

 

Education access isn’t applied automatically to a team. You may need to create a new team or upgrade an existing one. This Help Center article walks through the steps in detail: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041061214-Figma-for-Education#teams

Account mismatch. It’s also possible the verified Education status was applied to a different Figma account. Please confirm you’re logged into the same account you used during the SheerID verification process.

If you believe your Education status was applied to the wrong account, you can submit this form and our team will help out. Please note, the Figma team cannot move status from an account associated with educational email address to an account associated with a personal email address.

 

If everything looks good on your end, let me know and I’ll escalate your ticket so our team can treat this as a priority and help get you unblocked as soon as possible.

Hi Gayani,

Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that my issue is access to my course’s existing Education team, not creating or upgrading a personal team.

I am already a member of my class team, which is on an education plan, but I am blocked from collaborating because my approved Education status is not attaching to my Figma account on the backend. This is why I continue to see the “Verify your Education status to keep collaborating” banner.

I’ve confirmed the following:
• I am logged into the same account/email used for SheerID verification (also using my school email)
• My Education status was manually approved through SheerID
• Creating a new personal team does not resolve the issue, as my coursework requires access to the class team

At this point, I believe this requires manual application of Education status to my user ID so I can access the existing Education team. This is time-sensitive, as my class is fully Figma-based.

Please let me know if you need any additional confirmation from me so this can be escalated and resolved.
