I just wanted to report this problem, you may know of it as per the number of related topics. 

Anyway the preview text on variable fonts is sqeezed together or has negative kerning values, it also overwrites static instances (as in not variable fonts) if they are apart of the same family. I did tests and that’s what it did in my case. I talked about this at the glyphs forum and they said this was a known figma bug.

That’s it, just reporting. Maybe I’m reporting incorrectly, but I’d think there should be another option besides question and conversation.
