User has limited access next to their name even though I updated their account to full access

A user on our account was upgraded to full access but it still says limited access next to their name. They are having issues with actions like moving files between folders and other tasks they should be able to do now.

Hi @Eric_Daily, Celyn here, stepping in for @Jaycee Lewis.

Thanks for chiming in, I understand that you are encountering the same issue.

To clarify, a Full seat gives users editing access, however “limited access” can still appear if they’ve only been invited to specific folders or files and haven’t been granted access to the specific team, project, or file yet.

Please try inviting the user directly to the team and this will give them access to all the team’s resources: Invite members to a team

Give that a try and let us know how it goes!

Hey @Sam Selldorff 👋 Happy to help. One question to get us started — When you upgraded them, did you assign them a Full seat, or did you open the team members list and choose Grant member access next to their name?

I want to make sure I get us pointed in the right direction. — Jaycee

I assigned them a full seat and double checked on the admin side. The user list is where it shows me they have full access but also says limited access

Happy to send you a screenshot but not here since it contains people’s names
