"Use scroll wheel zoom" still checked but not working when opening desktop app

In the MacOS desktop app, it doesn’t respect the “Use scroll wheel zoom” option when the app opens. It will still be checked if I selected it before but not working. If I toggle it off and on it works until the app closes.
