[URGENT STUDENT] Educational Plan Blocked Despite Approved SheerID Verification

Hello, I have already contacted support but haven't received a response. Here is my problem: 

I am a graphic design student, and following my professor’s instructions, I applied for the Figma Education Plan.

My professor asked us to link the plan to our university email address, but by mistake, I initially associated it with my personal email. After realizing the error, I deleted both accounts and started the process again using only my university email address. 

However, when I try to reapply for the Education Plan, I receive the following message: “We're glad you're enthusiastic, but it looks like you've already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer.”

To resolve this, I contacted SheerID directly. They confirmed that my verification request was already successfully approved on October 14, 2025, and assured me there are no issues on their end. 

Could you please help me activate the Education Plan correctly on my university account? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter, my teacher is waiting for us to use Figma for upcoming projects, so your help is crucial.

It sounds like you may have accidentally verified your Education status using your personal email instead of your university email.

You mentioned that SheerID confirmed the verification for your university email address account, so thanks for sharing that context.

 

I checked on our end, but I wasn’t able to find any student applications associated with your current account so far.

I also noticed that you’ve already contacted our Education team, and this has created support tickets (#1592544 and #1604541). I understand why you reached out here as well, especially since you’ve been waiting for a response and need this access for your project.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to resolve account-related issues like this here on the Forum. However, I’ve added a note to your ticket so our team is aware of your follow-up. Our Education team reviews requests in the order they’re received, so please wait for their reply.


In the meantime, it would be very helpful if you could reply to one of your ticket confirmation emails with the following:

  • A full screenshot of the email from SheerID, including the verified email address

  • The personal email address you initially used when the verification was done by mistake

This will help our team investigate your case more efficiently.
