Hi Figma Support Team,

We’ve noticed an issue with our billing where our account is being charged for 21 seats, but we only need to pay for 13. It appears that additional seats are being automatically added without our approval, which is increasing our monthly cost.

Could you please help us adjust our billing so that we are only charged for the 13 members we need? Additionally, we would appreciate any guidance on how to prevent automatic seat additions in the future.

Hey ​@Sushant Yadav, I’m really sorry for the delayed reply — I completely missed your post earlier, and I appreciate your patience. I can see that you’ve already submitted a ticket (Ticket number #1292585) to our support team, and I’m glad to hear they were able to resolve the issue for you.


Just to recap what support shared: Previously, seat upgrades were driven by user actions, with admins reviewing the changes afterwards. Now, new users automatically join with a free View seat and admins will have upfront approval over seat upgrades that incur cost, by default. You can find all the details in our Help Center here: Seat upgrade and approval flows Seat upgrade and approval flows.
