Upgrade from free plan to Dev Seat, not part of organization

Glad to hear you want to upgrade your plan. You can do this through the following steps:

1. Open the file browser by logging in to your account at figma.com.
   • If you’re in a specific Figma file, you can access the file browser by clicking Main menu > Back to files from the left sidebar toolbar.
2. Next to the team name (that you wish to upgrade) on the left sidebar, click the Free badge.
3. In the popup modal, select the Professional plan.
4. On the next page, select your Dev seat. 
5. Click Next: Payment.
6. Enter in your payment information.
7. Click Next: Review.
8. Review your plan and subscription details.
9. After agreeing to Figma’s terms of services, click Complete purchase.

I upgraded to a Dev plan, but I still get this error message when I try to switch to Dev mode. How do I use Dev mode?

I was out of the office after 2/27, so I missed your reply. My sincere apologies for the oversight. 

Were you ever able to access Dev mode? Depending on when you upgraded, there may be a delay in the system to give you the correct views. If it never updated on its own, I would ensure that your Dev mode seat is also within the team where this file that you’re trying to access Dev mode in is also within.
