I've noticed that adding video to a Figma site (using the new "Fill in Figma" sites feature) isn't supported or is completely broken. It's a mess to try and implement — there's no straightforward way to embed or play videos properly.
In contrast, Framer handles video support very well — it's easy and seamless to integrate video backgrounds or media sections. It would be great if Figma could match that level of functionality. Right now, it's a major limitation for building modern, media-rich web experiences directly in Figma.
Expected Behavior:
-
Ability to embed videos in Figma Sites
-
Support for background videos and inline media
-
Clean playback and responsive behavior
Actual Behavior:
-
No native video support
-
Workarounds are clunky or ineffective
-
Makes building modern web pages difficult
Please consider adding full video support in Figma Sites — it's essential for many use cases and currently a big gap compared to Framer.
