Hello Figma Support,

I recently purchased AI Credits and understood that I would only be charged the prorated amount of $46.45 for the remaining days of my current billing cycle.

Based on what was shown during the purchase process, I expected my next invoice to be approximately $66.45 in total:

  • $46.45 for the prorated AI Credits for the remainder of the current month.
  • $20.00 for my Full Seat subscription for the next billing cycle.

However, my upcoming invoice shows a projected total of $186.45, including an additional $120 charge for 5,000 AI Credits.

This was not my understanding when I made the purchase. I only intended to pay for the remaining days of the current billing period and did not intend to automatically renew or pre-purchase 5,000 AI Credits for the next month.

If I decide that I need AI Credits again in a future billing cycle, I will manually purchase or enable them myself.

Could you please:

  1. Clarify why my upcoming invoice is showing $186.45 instead of the expected $66.45.
  2. Cancel or remove the automatic renewal of the 5,000 AI Credits before the invoice is issued.
  3. Confirm what amount I will actually be charged on the next billing date.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Thanks for your post, @arsalan moqadam. Seems like you’ve had a confusing experience with AI subscriptions.

You purchased an AI credit add-on subscription, right? Like the Professional plan, these are intended to be subscriptions that renew automatically rather than a single, one-time purchase, and is why you’re seeing that included on your upcoming invoice at the full price. Since we can’t assist with account-specific billing issues, I found the ticket you submitted and raised the priority for you. You should hear back soon regarding the removal and clarifications of what you will be charged. As an aside, you can manage billing plans by going to Admin > Billing from the files browser.

Zooming out a bit, you might want to consider Pay-as-you-go AI billing instead of the ongoing subscription. With that you’re only paying for credits as you use them, up to a monthly spending limit, with the charges being added to the next invoice.
