Unexpected €960 Organization Plan Renewal After Downgrade to View Mode

Hi everyone,

I wanted to reach out on an ongoing billing issue with our Figma Organization plan, as support has so far only clarified the billing structure but not addressed our actual concern.

To recap the situation:

We briefly upgraded our account to an Organization plan with 1 Full and 1 Dev seat and were correctly charged €73.15 for a short usage period.

Shortly after that, we downgraded the account back to View Mode because we did not intend to continue using Full or Dev seats.

Despite this downgrade, our account was charged €960 for an annual renewal of the Organization plan (2026–2027), which includes those seats.

Support confirmed that this €960 charge is the standard annual renewal for the plan. However, our understanding is that the downgrade to View Mode should have cancelled or prevented any further commitment to Full/Dev seat licensing going forward. We want a refund for the not intended payment of 960€.

Thanks in advance for any clarification or help.

Hey @EmbeddedWizard — welcome to Figma Forum and thanks for the detailed recap. I understand the frustration and appreciate you reaching out to support earlier for this.

I'm not able to access billing details from this public space, but I've opened a new ticket on your behalf so the team can take a fresh look at the renewal charge specifically. Your case number is: 1895672. If you have a case number from your previous support interaction, please reply to the new ticket with it so the team can connect both conversations.

This resource covers how seat downgrades and billing adjustments work: There are additional charges in my Figma bill → My bill is higher than expected.

Please keep an eye on your inbox for next steps. 🙏🏻

Hi, thanks for creating the ticket. I still haven’t received any email regarding case 1895672, including in spam/junk folders. Could you please check whether the ticket was created correctly or resend the notification? I did write on another ticket (over another mail adress) before which was:  1876023

Hey @EmbeddedWizard — thanks for the update and for sharing the other ticket number. I checked on both cases: The team is actively reviewing ticket: 1876023, and I've flagged your note about not receiving an email for case: 1895672, so they can look into that as well. I've shared your Forum post with them so they have the full context across both conversations.

Please continue to keep an eye on the email inbox you originally reached out from for updates. Thanks for your patience.
