Unexpected $156 Billing Adjustment for Seat Update

Hi Figma Support,

I purchased a Professional annual plan on August 17, 2026 for $39.60.

My workspace currently:

  • My current seat type: View (I changed to view)
  • 1 Full annual seat available/unassigned
  • 0 monthly seats
  • Monthly costs: $0.00

My upcoming invoice for September 17, 2026 now shows a $156 billing adjustment for “Seat updates.”

Could you please explain what caused this $156 charge and whether it can be removed before the invoice is issued?

    Thanks for your post, ​@Springg. Unexpected charges can definitely be confusing, so it’s good that you’re looking for clarification.

     

    When you upgraded to a full seat, did you choose the yearly option rather than monthly? Those amounts make sense if you initially paid a prorated charge when upgrading, then get an adjustment for the rest of the year on the invoice. Since we can’t directly assist with billing and account issues here in the forum, I created a ticket for you with our support team.
