Undo and redo buttons gone on figma app on ipad

Tonight the undo and redo buttons disappeared on the ipad figma app when using fig jam. Both me and my student experienced the same thing so I think it is a bug. The buttons were present within the last 24 hours but are now gone.

      Undo button still gone this morning. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but with no improvement.

        Hey ​@Matt_S1, thanks for reaching out, and sorry this is still happening even after reinstalling.

        To help narrow down what's going on, could you let us know:

        • Does this happen on every FigJam board you open, or just one specific board?
        • Does the title and toolbar show up correctly if you open that same board in a browser, or on another device?
        • Is this happening in full-screen mode, or also when the app is in Split View or Slide Over alongside another app?
        • Are you seeing the same thing on Figma Design files, or only on FigJam boards?
           

        In the meantime, the clearest way for our team to dig into this is a bug report sent straight from the app, since that captures your device and app version automatically. In the Figma app, tap your profile icon in the top right, then go to Settings > Help > Report a bug, and include a quick screen recording showing the missing undo and redo buttons.

          -Happens on every board on iPad (at least the 5 different boards I checked).

          -sometimes the title shows up, other times it doesn’t. The page selection, share button, and users buttons show (see image attached)

          -The same boards seem to display correctly and undo and redo works in the macos app and chrome browser (using command+z and command+y)

          -happens in all modes on iPad (full screen, split, etc).

          -I only use figjam…

           

          Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t see a bug report option from inside the iPad app (perhaps that is also not rendering?). When I am in a fig jam I see my profile icon but the only option is spotlight). When I use the windows style menu items at the top of the app screen, I see a help menu but the only option is “search”. I did attach an image of some info I found in the figma settings app in my iPad.

            Thanks for the screenshot and your app version. And thanks for letting us know the two-finger tap still undoes. For redo, the FigJam for iPad article says to tap with three fingers. You can also swipe with three fingers, left to undo and right to redo.

            I've passed on what you saw with the page button on your student's iPad to our team internally.

            FYI Update on 13 OCT has restored undo button for me!

              Exact same here. I’m thinking maybe the problem occurred with the latest update? So frustrating! I thought we finally found a good app for our needs, and then a few days later….. NOPE!

                Hi, ​@mountainjammer ​@WechFamily and ​@Matt_S1! Stepping in for ​@Gayani_S. Totally understand how this is disruptive to working with the app in FigJam files. Our team has identified the issue and worked on a fix. What version of the iPad app do you have, and do you see an update available? If so, can you update again and let me know if that resolves the issue?

                  my app is up to date, I’m on an iPad Pro 12.9 in 3rd gen running 26.7.1

                  I am using the Figma app version 26.37.0. The issue remains. I do not see a new update available for the app.
