Unable to Verify for Education Plan

Hello Figma Team,

I’m a student at the Vocational university Brobygrafiska in Sunne, Sweden (Digital Design, expected graduation 2026). For my coursework, I need to verify my account to the education plan. Unfortunately, my application for this has not been processed, neither from Figma or SheerId.

Here’s what happened:

  • I entered all my details correctly (school, program, dates, etc.).

  • SheerID didn’t respond.

  • I tried multiple times to provide documents (Student ID, enrollment confirmation) but was not able to, I only received an error message. 

  • I have reached out to Figma support, but every time I only get the same response: “Please contact SheerID.” I did so but didn't receive an answer. What am I supposed to do if SheerID does not reply and simply ignores my requests?
     

I need to receive an education plan in order to complete my studies.

What should I do to resolve this issue?

Hi ​@agnes_nilsson! Thanks for reaching out to us and sharing all these details! I completely understand how stressful and frustrating this must feel.

I was able to locate your support ticket on our end and saw that you’re running into the “Verification Limit Exceeded” issue. Unfortunately, since the verification process is fully managed by our partner SheerID, we don’t have the ability to reset this directly ourselves.

That said, you’re absolutely on the right track by reaching out to SheerID already! The best next step is to reply to your SheerID Verification Support email and CC education@figma.com. Our Education team will work with SheerID to help reset your verification limit so you can try again as soon as possible.

I know this process can be frustrating, and I’m really sorry you’ve had to deal with it. Thank you so much for your patience, we’ll make sure this gets sorted for you soon. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Celine! 

It has now been one week since I reached out to CC education@figma.com and SheerId once again. Unfortunately I have not received any reply from either of them. Please let me know how I can solve this problem and verify my education account.

Hey @agnes_nilsson, thanks for the update and sorry for the delayed reply!

I can see on my end that the Figma Education team has looped in the SheerID support team via email so they can follow up with you directly, as they’re the only ones who can assist with this.

I’d recommend continuing the conversation through that case (#1542436), please check your inbox when you have a moment. They’ll be best equipped to guide you.
