Unable to Enable Collaborative Editing in Figma Make (Education Plan)
Dear Figma Support Team,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am a postgraduate student at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and I am currently using a verified Figma Education account for a group project.
Our team is developing a website called "HER: East Asian Women in Arts" using Figma Make. We would like multiple team members to be able to edit and collaborate on the same project.
However, when I try to grant editing access to my teammates, the following message appears:
"An admin needs to update this seat so they can edit."
I am the administrator of our Figma team, and I have already sent invitations to my teammates through the Admin settings. One teammate accepted the invitation, but their access still appears to be restricted, and they are unable to edit the website. I also noticed that the invitation or access status shows only one day remaining.
Could you please clarify the following questions?
-
Does Figma Make support collaborative editing by multiple users on the same website project?
-
As a verified Figma Education user, can I grant editing access to my teammates without additional charges?
-
Why does the message "An admin needs to update this seat so they can edit" continue to appear even after a teammate accepts the invitation?
-
What does the one-day remaining validity period mean? Does it affect their editing access?
-
What steps should I take as the team administrator to enable editing access for all group members? I can't find where to add an admin seat.

I would appreciate your guidance, as collaborative editing is important for completing our university group project.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
