Unable to create GitHub repository from Figma – error every time

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with the Figma → GitHub integration and I can’t seem to get it working.

Every time I try to create a new GitHub repository directly from Figma, I get an error and the repo is not created. Because of that, I can’t export or sync the generated code to GitHub.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

  • Removed the Figma GitHub integration from my GitHub account

  • Deleted all repositories that were previously linked to Figma

  • Reinstalled / re-authorized the GitHub integration from Figma

  • Tried creating a brand-new repository again

  • Repeated the whole process multiple times (around 10 attempts)

Despite all of this, the issue persists: I still can’t create a repository from Figma, and the export to GitHub fails every time.

At this point I’m not sure if this is:

  • a permission or OAuth issue,

  • a GitHub account / org configuration problem,

  • or a known bug with the Figma GitHub integration.

Has anyone run into this before, or does anyone know what else I can check or reset?
Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance 🙏
