I’m a current graduate student in the U.S., and I’ve been trying to get verified for the student plan. Unfortunately, the process keeps failing for different reasons: sometimes it says I’m using a VPN (which I’m not), other times it claims I’ve already redeemed the benefit (which isn’t the case), and occasionally it just says there’s an issue with my verification.

The process has been very frustrating, and I would really appreciate help from a real person to resolve this (no more AI generated responses).

Just to confirm, are you following the steps below when submitting your application?

  1. Log in to Figma using the account you'd like to verify:

  2. Then go to the Education status application page: https://www.figma.com/education/apply

If you’ve already followed those steps and are still running into issues, please  reach out directly to SheerID, as they manage Figma's Higher Education verification process.

Thank you for your reply. I did follow the steps above and had already reached out to sheerID. The problem is I can be verified with SheerID for other platforms, Figma is the only exception, so I wonder if there is a way to get help from Figma support team.


I have the exact same issue. I have also contacted SheerID but they are very slow at responding, taking 3-6 business days on average. I really need my account sooner than that so if anyone knows of anyway to make it work, please let me (us) know.
