Unable to access original Figma account due to deleted school email — support ticket follow-up (Case #1680834)

Hi Figma team,

I’m posting here to follow up and hopefully escalate visibility on an existing support ticket I submitted regarding account access.

Issue summary:

  • My original Figma account was created using a school email address.
  • That school email has since been permanently deleted, so I can no longer receive verification or recovery emails.
  • As a result, I’m locked out of my original account and the files associated with it.

I’ve already submitted a support request (Case #1680834) asking for:

  • Recovery of my files, and
  • Changing the account email to my personal address so I can regain access.

I’ve requested that all follow-up communication be sent to my personal email instead, and I’m fully willing to provide any additional information needed to verify account ownership (ID, proof of email ownership, project details, etc.).

I understand this may require manual verification, and I appreciate the support team’s time. I’m posting here only to ensure the issue is seen, as these files are important to my work and portfolio.

Thank you very much for your help — happy to provide anything required to move this forward.

Hi @WhyFai

I understand that you’ve lost access to the email address previously linked to your Figma account and are looking for a way to regain access.

I checked on our end and can see that your original ticket was migrated to #1680826 and has since been closed. To make sure this is properly followed up, I’ll go ahead and create a new support ticket(#1695049) for you.

The ticket confirmation email will be sent to the current email address associated with the account you used to post here on the forum.

Thanks for letting us know that you’re willing to provide any information needed to verify account ownership. Please continue the conversation directly with our support team through the ticket email once it’s created.

Thanks,
