Why did you mess up the cursor work so badly?

So inconvenient and not accurate.

Now it's simply impossible to move small objects without zooming to them a hundred times.

The zoom cursor used to be conveniently located on the outside of the corner, now it's always on the top left for all corbers.

Working with the gradient cursor is just torture. Hit the gradient point handle is a quest.

But the ugliest part is that the object creation cursor is now completely faux.
It doesn't draw the shape where it is expected, but draws it offset from the cursor

Hi @Lorem-Possum, thanks for your feedback and for bringing this issue to our attention.

I appreciate you sharing the video – I could see there that the object isn't being drawn where the cursor is, but rather with an offset.

I can definitely understand how frustrating that would be. I've tried to reproduce the issue on my end, but haven't been successful yet. If you haven't tried already, could you please try these quick troubleshooting steps?

  • Close any Figma tabs that you aren't actively using.
    • Browser: Completely close your browser and then open Figma in a new window.
    • Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and then restart it.

If the issue still persists after those steps, could you please give us the following details?

  • Are you experiencing this in the browser, the desktop app, or both?
  • If it's a browser issue, could you specify which browser you're using? Also, does it happen in other browsers? (Our supported browsers are Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge: you can find more details here)

This will allow us to connect you with the right team for further assistance.

Thanks for your help!
