Trying to upgrade but don't understand the plans

Hi,

 

Me and my team are currently using the free plan on Figma. Now we have a new dev, it has become apparent that we need to upgrade to give the new dev a ‘dev seat’.

 

As far as I’ve seen on the pricing page, a dev seat for one person should be $12 a month. That is what we would like to do. But when the owner of the board (not me) attempted to do this, it wanted to also give her (the owner) a ‘full seat’ for $16 per month.

 

   At the moment, both me and the owner have full editing access on the free plan. We would like to keep it that way and simply buy one dev seat for our new dev. When we

I understand that you and the owner would like to keep full editing access while also adding a Dev seat for your new developer.

 

Just to clarify — on a paid plan, others can view and comment on files for free, but editing access requires a paid seat.

This means that in addition to the Dev seat for your new developer, paid seats may need to be assigned to both you and the owner as well.
