Tokens for ai generation wont work correctly

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently using the most affordable model for neural generation. Additionally, I purchased an extra 1,700 tokens to ensure sufficient coverage for my tasks.

However, I have encountered a significant issue during the design generation process. For what I would consider minor edits — specifically, changing the title in the website header and adding two blocks — the system deducted 1,000 tokens. This seems disproportionately high, especially since these changes introduced no substantial new content or complexity.

Furthermore, I am experiencing persistent loading issues during the process, which further complicates the workflow.

I kindly request that you review this matter and clarify the token consumption logic for such minor adjustments. If this deduction was indeed an error, I would appreciate a correction and possibly a refund of the overcharged tokens.

Please let me know if you need any additional details, such as project IDs or timestamps, to assist with your investigation.

I look forward to your response.

Hey @Alex545 , Celine from the Figma Community Support team here, thanks for all the details!

Just to give some context: Figma Make uses an agentic AI system, so credit consumption can vary beyond just the visible scope of a change. Even for something that looks like a minor edit — like updating a header text or adding two blocks — the model may perform multiple steps across the generated output, which can drive up usage. All of that work counts toward credit consumption.

That said, 1,000 credits for those specific changes does sound on the higher end, and we'd like to take a closer look.

To investigate both the credit usage and the loading issues, please head to the Support Hub, type "Report a bug", click "Start a chat", and follow the prompts. In the form, please include:

- The file link (and grant ‘Can View" access with support-share@figma.com)
- The approximate timestamp(s) when the 1,000-credit deduction occurred
- Screenshots or a screen recording of the loading issue
- The prompt(s) you used at the time, if you can recall

Once the team has reviewed your case, they'll be able to advise on next steps, including your request regarding the credits.

Once you've submitted the report, feel free to let me know here and I'll make sure to flag it to the team for a closer look! 🙏
