The policy of using FIGMA MAKE AI's paid credit is very wrong.

It's very good when it works well, so I've already recharged the credits several times and used them for a fee. However, credit consumption is so fast that it's almost mostly used for reworking due to a simple pygma system error.

Even if AI does not understand, give the desired answer, or provide a low-quality processing result, we are aware of the stability of AI platforms, so we are using it well. However, it is very wrong to continue using paid credits for system errors, which are problems with simple text processing, and the parts that are now faulty are returned to the previous version, apart from AI.

Even AI, which is causing this problem, answered that such credit consumption is unfair. Currently, you pay over $200 to use, and 50% of them consume unacceptable paid credits.

It's easy to solve these problems. You need to get a proper understanding and refund the credits that have been consumed by these problems.

I think many people other than me are experiencing the same problem. Figma, which leaves this good AI system while just looking at these problems, should quickly correct it and proceed with the refund process.

Hi @EP C, Celyn from Figma Community Support here.

Thanks for taking the time to share this and for your continued support — it’s great to hear Figma Make has been helpful in your workflow, and I understand your concern around usage adding up, especially when you’re needing to rework results.

Firstly, here’s a bit of context on how credit usage works in Figma Make today:

  • AI credits are consumed based on the work performed in response to a prompt (e.g. generating or updating code or making changes to your file)
  • This means credits can still be used even if the result isn’t what you expected or requires reworking
  • If a prompt fully fails and no work is performed, credits are not deducted

That said, what you’re describing around credits being used during system errors or when results appear to revert unexpectedly to previous versions is something we’d want to look into more closely.

I can see that you’ve already reached out to us via support ticket #1830957 — I’ve added an internal note there with the additional details from your post so the team has full context.

I also saw that you’ve shared a file link on the ticket. If this issue relates to a different file, could you reply on the ticket with:

  • A link to the affected file
  • Invite support-share@figma.com with “Can view” access to the affected file (this won’t impact your billing and will allow us to investigate further)

Please also feel free to share any additional screenshots of the prompts, along with more details about the system errors you mentioned, directly on the ticket. The team will review and follow up with you as soon as possible.

Thanks again for flagging this, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and feedback with us 🙏

Thanks for sharing the file link and granting view access, @EP C — I hope it’s okay for me to reply in English here.

I’ve passed this along to the team so they can take a closer look at what’s happening. We’ll review the activity and history within your Make file to better understand the behavior you’re seeing.

Someone from the team will be in touch with you soon — appreciate your patience in the meantime 🙏

@Celyn_L, I’ve just requested a change in Figma Make to change 3 strings, which was 66 credits (that alone is ridiculous). 2 prompts later those strings were somehow reverted to the original strings… I asked to fix what it messed up, yet again costed 88 credits. So changing 3 strings cost me 5% of the monthly credit limit.
I’m canceling my subscription now. Bye Figma!

Hello, I'm waiting for your response.
When will you give me an answer?
They told me to wait, so I'm not working on it and I'm waiting.

Hi @EP C, thanks for following up here.

I took a look and can see that a specialist has been assisting you on ticket #1830957. I also noticed you mentioned in the ticket that you have reached out through another channel — could you share that ticket number as well?

Just to make sure I understand correctly, when you mentioned:

“They told me to wait, so I'm not working on it and I'm waiting”

Could you clarify who you were referring to there? That will help me follow up more accurately on your case.

@Celyn_L You said that the person in charge will contact you after reviewing the activities and records in the make file. Read what you wrote above for yourself. And I'm done getting answers through other channels. He said it's better to solve the problem through this channel now. Just ignore everything and take care of it in this answer now. Just look at the current page question/answer history.

Thanks for following up here @EP C.

I understand your concern, and I’ve reviewed your case carefully to make sure I fully understand what’s going on.

It seems there may have been some miscommunication along the way, and I want to help get this properly resolved for you.

I’ve escalated this to the team for a more detailed review, and created a new ticket for you (#1860602) so everything can be handled clearly in one place.

Someone from the team will contact you through that ticket soon, so please keep an eye on your email inbox.

Thank you for your patience while we get this sorted.
