The font “Noto Looped Thai – SemiBold” does not render English characters correctly in text layers.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with the SemiBold style of the Noto Looped Thai font from Google Fonts, where English characters are not rendering correctly.

I just tested this on my end using both the Figma desktop app and the browser version of Figma Design, and I was able to reproduce the issue. Thai characters render correctly, but English characters do not appear when using the SemiBold style.

I’ll go ahead and file an internal report so our team can review this issue. In the meantime, could you please confirm a couple of things for us?

• Are you selecting "Noto Looped Thai" from Google Fonts within Figma Design?

• Have you installed Noto Looped Thai on your local machine (for example, via Font Book if you're on Mac), or is it not installed locally at all? You can refer to this guide to check whether the font is installed on your computer: Install the font on your computer

Our engineering team has rolled out a fix, and I’ve confirmed that the issue is now resolved on my end.

If you re-enter text edit mode or make any text edits — or alternatively, select all and use “Recompute Text Layout in Selection” from the Actions menu — it should refresh the rendering.
