Hello, when I try to make a payment, I get an error saying “the card was declined due to frequent repeated attempts.” I waited 24 hours (or more) to try again, but the error did not go away. I then used a new card, and now the same error is showing for the new card as well. What should I do? The card is Visa.

The “repeated attempts too frequently” message usually means your card issuer has blocked the transaction after several payment attempts in a short period.

Here are a few steps that should help resolve this:

  • As you have already tried a different credit or debit card from another bank, please contact your card issuer: Your bank may have additional security measures in place that are preventing the payment. They can explain why the transaction is being declined and may be able to remove the block.
  • Update your payment method in Figma: Once you have a working card, you can update your payment details by going to your team Settings → Plan and billing → Change payment method

This issue is most likely coming from the card issuer rather than Figma’s system. As a reminder, for privacy and security reasons, only your bank can share specific details about declined payments with the cardholder.
