The canvas in older projects is not rendering anything

When I open drafts or projects that I haven opened in a few weeks the canvas is only showing as either white or a gradient dark screen. The project i’ve been working in recently opens just fine.

Hi, @Kolfinna - thanks for your post! It’s unfortunate that this is blocking you from working on your files.

When you say that it’s projects opened in the last few weeks, is that to say that this has been happening for the last few weeks with all files you open or only with files that were opened in the last few weeks in specific (meaning you have files that are older and haven’t been opened in a while that do render correctly)? Also, are you using the desktop app or a web browser? If you use the desktop app, try using a web browser or vice versa. With the web browser in specific, I also recommend the following:

  • Log out of Figma
  • Clear all site data for Figma.com
  • Make sure that you’re running the newest version of the browser
  • Log back in and open the file(s) again.

Let me know if my suggestions don’t help and we’ll continue troubleshooting this together.

It seems to be fixed now. Yesterday it was only rendering the file I've been working on lately but everything else I tried was not.

Ahh, ok! I’m relieved to hear it’s resolved for you, @Kolfinna. Feel free to post again if you have any other questions, and have a great day!
