Is it just me or are the text search buttons in FigJam (when searching via Ctrl+ F shortcut) behaving exactly the opposite way from what to expect?
To illustrate, this screenshot shows what I am referring to:

When clicking on the “down” chevron, I’d expect to go to the next search result (3 of 57). Instead, what happens is FigJam jumps back to the first search result (1 of 57).

Likewise, when clicking the “up” chevron, I’d expect to get to the previous search result - instead, FigJam navigates to the subsequent one.

I cannot see how this would make sense, as intuitively, I would associate a downward pointing chevron button with “next” and an upward pointing chevron with “previous”.

It seems to be a bug - please fix!

Hi @abmerz,

I understand you're finding the behavior of the text search buttons (chevrons) in FigJam counter-intuitive, specifically that the "down" chevron jumps to the first result while the "up" chevron navigates to the subsequent one.

I just tested this on my end and observed the same behavior, so I understand what you were expecting.

However, I also noticed that when you hover over each button, the tooltip explicitly says "Previous results" on the "down" chevron and "Next results" on the "up" chevron. So, while the tooltip and the action do match, I agree that the icon's direction can be confusing.

I'll go ahead and share your report with the relevant team.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
