Subject: Text Rendering Issue in Figma Design Mode

Hi Figma Team,

I’m experiencing an issue while working in Design Mode where text occasionally becomes distorted or corrupted. The characters appear broken, overlapping, or unreadable, even though the text layer itself has not been modified.

Issue Details:

  • The problem occurs randomly while designing.

  • Text appears visually glitched (distorted glyphs / overlapping characters).

  • The issue is visible on the canvas but may not reflect actual text content.

  • It affects readability and design accuracy.

Steps to Reproduce (approximate):

  1. Open a design file in Figma (Design Mode).

  2. Add or edit text layers.

  3. After some time or interaction (zooming, editing, or switching frames), the text becomes visually corrupted.

Expected Behavior:
Text should render clearly and consistently without distortion.

Actual Behavior:
Text appears broken, with incorrect rendering of characters.

Additional Info:

  • This issue seems intermittent.

  • Refreshing the file or restarting Figma sometimes temporarily fixes it.

  • I have attached a screenshot for reference.

Please look into this issue, as it impacts workflow and design quality.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
