I’m experiencing a strange behavior with Figma’s text layout-resizing mode.
When I paste a text string longer than 28 characters, the layout-resizing property automatically changes to Auto Height.
For example:

Pasting
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz12(28 characters) → layout-resizing switches to Auto Height. -
Pasting
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1(27 characters) → layout-resizing stays as Auto Width.
This happens consistently. Is this expected behavior? Is there a hidden threshold or setting that triggers this? I’d like to keep the text box as Auto Width regardless of length, but it keeps forcing the change when I paste longer content.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any workarounds or insights would be greatly appreciated.
