I have had the college verified and I and other teachers and one student from my class has been verified, the remainder are either waiting or have been rejected - they have used their class email and also have shown their enrolment screen  from our Waed platform that holds their student record.

WHy is this so and how do we get them verified - all of these students had an invitation from me to join Figma.  Our unit has little time left and this is now an urgent situation

Hi @Karen McAllister

I understand that several of your students are unable to complete verification, even though other teachers and one student have already been verified.

Education verifications are handled directly by SheerID, and unfortunately we’re not able to manually review documents or override individual verification results.

If a student’s application was denied, they can submit an appeal directly with SheerID by providing any additional documentation requested. SheerID will review the appeal and notify them of the outcome.

To help reduce verification issues, please ask your students to double-check the following:

  • They are logged in using a school-issued email address (personal emails are not accepted).
  • If their Figma account was created with a personal email, they should update it to their school email in Account Settings before reapplying.
  • They are not connected through a VPN during verification.
  • The uploaded documents clearly show current enrollment (course syllabi are not accepted as proof).

They can review the full process here: Figma for Education

If students have already contacted SheerID individually and the issue remains unresolved, we recommend that they contact education@figma.com directly from the school-issued email address they used for verification, and include their SheerID response email.

This will allow the Education team to review the case more efficiently.

Thanks,
