Stuck in SheerID education Verification loop - Help needed

Hi Figma Team,

I am stuck in the SheerID verification loop that many students have reported on this forum. I have been trying to verify my education account for several weeks and the situation has now become critical for my academic work.

I am trapped in the verification cycle where I receive "Verification Limit Exceeded" errors. SheerID has now permanently closed two of my support tickets without providing any actual solution or alternative.

I contacted education@figma.com several weeks ago without receiving a response, and I sent a follow-up email yesterday. I cannot access team collaboration features, which is preventing me from completing my university assignments this semester.

Could someone from the Figma team please review my case and either manually verify my education status or provide an alternative verification method? I am happy to submit any required documentation.

I am also a paying customer for my professional Figma account, and I have always received excellent support. I hope the same level of assistance can be extended to resolve this education verification issue.

To clarify, SheerID manages the full verification process on Figma’s behalf, including any resets or retries. If you haven’t already, please reach out to their support team using this secure form: Contact SheerID support team.

If you’ve already been in touch with them via that form and are still stuck, please reply here and I’ll flag your post for our Education Team to take a deeper review together.

Hi Tom, 

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I have already contacted SheerID support twice through their secure form, and both times they have permanently closed my tickets without providing any solution.

Since SheerID has indicated they cannot help me further, I would really appreciate it if you could flag my case for the Education Team to review.
