Spacebar panning glitch in Figma

Hey everyone! Question from the team: if you’re on macOS and previously experienced this issue, could you let us know if it’s still happening consistently for you or if things have improved recently?

The problem hadn't been there for a few weeks, but today it came back. I'm using a PC, not a Mac.

We've confirmed a fix is in place for macOS users, if you're on version 126.3.11 or above, it should be working correctly now. Could ​@Literally Fodder, ​@Sergio_AH, and ​@JustLaik let us know if things are looking stable on your end? Even a quick "all good" or "still seeing it" is really helpful.

​@Alexander Olenich, thanks for flagging that it's come back for you on PC. I haven't forgotten you here. The current fix is focused on macOS, but I've made sure the team knows it's recurring on Windows too. I'll follow up as soon as I have something more concrete for you.

Same goes for ​@robferty224 and ​@LauraO, still on it for Windows and I'll update this thread as soon as I hear back.

To help narrow this down, could you share a few quick details:

• Are you still experiencing this on Mac and the desktop app, like mentioned previously?
• Which app version are you currently on?
• Have you tried restarting the app since this started happening again?

Yes this is on Mac desktop app, version 126.6.12. Restarting the app several times but still the glitch is happening. When it occurs it also seems like there is a small delay in changing the icon/function when hitting/holding the spacebar. Resulting in selecting multiple element instead of dragging the canvas.

Hey ​@JustLaik, I double-checked in with the team on this, and they'd love to get a quick screen recording of it happening, if you're able to grab one. Seeing exactly how the glitch plays out (including that delay before it starts selecting elements instead of panning) will help them narrow down what's going on.

I'll make sure it gets to the engineers working on this and open a ticket on your behalf so we can track it properly.
