Same here, issue still persists. When pressing the space bar to move around, it just starts moving randomly (down usually).

Alexander Olenich

I don't know if this is related to any changes on the developers' side, but the issue disappeared when I switched from a wired Logitech B110 mouse to a wireless Logitech Signature M650L about 10 days ago. However, after the latest update, the custom commands assigned to the extra side buttons on the mouse stopped working in Figma, and a few days ago the spacebar panning glitch came back.

Yes, the issue resets temporarily when you switch from Figma to another application and back, but this can hardly be called normal or a comfortable working experience.

Hey everyone, really sorry you’re still running into this and that the previous fix didn’t resolve things!

Thanks a lot for sharing these details as well. I’ve flagged this again with the team so they can take a closer look based on what you’re seeing here. The team is actively working on this and doing their best to get it resolved for everyone.

I’ll share an update here as soon as I hear back.

Appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Just to add to what Alexander mentioned — this might help — I’m also using a Logitech mouse (wireless MX Master 2S).

  1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences).
  2. Go to Accessibility > Keyboard.
  3. Turn OFF the toggle for Full Keyboard Access.

This fixed my isssue on Macbook

Hey everyone, quick update from our side: it looks like the team has rolled out another fix for this.

Really appreciate you sharing what worked for you with the Full Keyboard Access setting. That’s helpful context for others running into the same issue.

If you’re still seeing the spacebar panning glitch after the update, please reach out again!

Literally Fodder

Same issue. On Mac, desktop app.

Hey @Literally Fodder,  thanks for confirming.

Just to double check a couple of things so I can narrow this down:

  • Is your desktop app fully up to date? (Figma Desktop App version 126.2.10)
  • Have you already tried restarting the app since the fix was rolled out?

If you’ve done both and it’s still happening, let me know I’ll escalate this back to the team so we can take a closer look.

Yes and yes. It hasn’t happened since I reported it last time though.

Thanks for confirming that!

Correction: the team has confirmed the fix is out in our beta version, version 126.3.6.

Can you please download the beta version to see if the fix works for you: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/5601429983767-Guide-to-the-Figma-desktop-app#Download_the_beta_version

This issue has been happening for a few months now (Desktop, Windows 11). I always have to close the app and reopen it -- that usually fixes it for a while (sometimes minutes, sometimes hours), but the problem always comes back. It’s been happening more frequently this week. I also tried the beta version, and it worked fine for about 40 minutes, but then the issue occurred again.

Hey @LauraO, thanks for flagging this!

Before I pass this along to the team, could you help me confirm a couple of quick things?

  • Is your Figma Desktop App fully up to date (version 126.3.12)?
  • And is the beta version you tried on 126.3.6?

Once I have that, I can reach out to the team for help.

windows 11 user here. using non-beta (126.2.10). Seems like issue still isn’t solved. This has been a problem for me for more than a month now. I can’t see any workaround. Sometimes switching app does help, sometimes it just goes away by itself.

My Figma Desktop app is version 126.2.10, and as of now there are no updates available. The beta version I tested was 126.3.11.

Hey everyone, really sorry for the delayed response, and thanks for sharing those details!

I’ve flagged this again with the team for a closer look, especially since you’re still experiencing it even after trying the beta versions where a fix was expected.

I’ll follow up here as soon as I hear back from the team. In the meantime, really appreciate your patience and please feel free to share anything else you notice that might help us narrow this down.

Hey everyone! Question from the team: if you’re on macOS and previously experienced this issue, could you let us know if it’s still happening consistently for you or if things have improved recently?

Thanks so much for the help!

Alexander Olenich

The problem hadn't been there for a few weeks, but today it came back. I'm using a PC, not a Mac.

Hey everyone, quick update from the team!

We've confirmed a fix is in place for macOS users, if you're on version 126.3.11 or above, it should be working correctly now. Could @Literally Fodder, @Sergio_AH, and @JustLaik let us know if things are looking stable on your end? Even a quick "all good" or "still seeing it" is really helpful.

@Alexander Olenich, thanks for flagging that it's come back for you on PC. I haven't forgotten you here. The current fix is focused on macOS, but I've made sure the team knows it's recurring on Windows too. I'll follow up as soon as I have something more concrete for you.

Same goes for @robferty224 and @LauraO, still on it for Windows and I'll update this thread as soon as I hear back.
