SheerID fails to verify my Student Status

Hello,

I have been trying to verify my student status (for the student plan) for a couple of weeks now without success.

Every time I submit the application, I receive an error message at the very end of the process.  
"We're unable to verify you using the information submitted. Please check your information for accuracy, and only use your own mobile device or computer."
Despite checking several times, every informations provided is correct but the result is the same. I have now exceeded the verification limit and can’t try again.

I have tried to reach out to SheerID support a few times, but they’ve proved totally unhelpful, only sending me generic automated responses without providing any insight or help. They’ve closed every tickets without offering advice or solving anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’ve already been missing out on quite a few teams projects, and deadlines are right in the corner.

Thanks for the reply. I see that you have also reached out to the Figma Education team. For visibility here, based on what we’re seeing internally, the Education team has already overridden the initial rejection. Please try again now, you should have received an email from us. In some cases, SheerID may flag signals as untrustworthy due to network-related factors, even when everything looks valid on our side.

If you haven’t already, it may also help to try again using a different network or a hotspot and resubmit the verification.

If you run into any additional issues or have updates to share, please reply directly to your existing ticket. The Figma Education team is best equipped to continue assisting you and follow up from there.

Hi Francois, Celine from Figma here! Thanks for reaching out, and I’m really sorry you’re running into issue with the verification process.

Just to clarify, Figma isn’t able to manually verify Education Plan eligibility on our side. All verifications must be completed through SheerID, as they handle the entire process for higher-education students and faculty.

Figma requires a school-issued email for Education access, with the exception of universities or programs that do not provide institutional email addresses. In those cases, SheerID is responsible for confirming eligibility and updating their records when needed.

Since your verification attempts are failing and you’ve reached the retry limit, the best next step is to have SheerID review your case directly (especially if your institution doesn’t issue student emails, or if the email you’re using is your official school address). Thanks for the quick answer, but I have a school issued email, and as I said, I’ve already contacted SheerID support, which ended up nowhere as they keep replying to me with the same automated answer, telling me they can’t do anything yet are unable to tell my why and then closing my ticket.
