Hi everyone,

 

I’ve noticed that Figma’s search functionality has changed recently. Previously, when searching for files within the Figma app, the search bar would consider text from file covers as input, making it easier to find files based on keywords displayed in the cover images. However, this no longer seems to be working.

 

Has anyone else experienced this? Was this an intentional update, or could it be a bug? If there’s a new way to enable this behavior, I’d love to know!

 

Would appreciate any insights or possible workarounds. Thanks!

Our search team isn’t aware of any recent changes that would cause this. I just tried a quick test searching text from within a file cover for Figma, FigJam, and Slides files, and search seems to be working as expected for me. 

Are you able to share a screen recording of the current behavior and describe what you’d usually expect to happen that is no longer occurring? 

If so, we’ll pass it along to our Search team to investigate further.
