requesting Charge refund

Hello Figma Support Team,

I’m writing to request a refund for the $42 subscription charge billed on September 14.

I did not plan to use Figma in September, and I have not used the service at all since the charge was made. However, I was still automatically charged $42 for the September subscription period.

I had intended to cancel my subscription, but I found the cancellation process difficult to locate and not very intuitive, which unfortunately caused me to miss the cancellation deadline. The unexpected automatic charge was quite frustrating.

Since I have not used the service at all during this billing period, I would greatly appreciate it if you could make an exception and consider refunding the $42 September subscription fee.

I have already canceled my subscription to make sure this does not happen again.

I understand that you may be busy, but I would sincerely appreciate your consideration of my refund request.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hey @xinya, thanks for reaching out!

I can see our customer support team already followed up with you directly on ticket #2129553 earlier today. If anything in there isn't clear, let me know. Happy to clarify!

For community members coming across the same issue: Charges like this can often trace back to how seat changes interact with your billing period. If a Full seat, Dev seat, or Collab seat gets added partway through a period and the plan is cancelled shortly after, that addition is typically still prorated and reflected on your last invoice before the downgrade takes effect. Our There are additional charges in my Figma bill article breaks down why that happens.

As for finding "Cancel plan" next time, here's where it lives:

  1. From the file browser, click Admin in the left sidebar.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. In the Plan section, click Cancel plan and choose a cancellation reason.

Our Upgrade or downgrade your plan guide covers this for the Professional plan, including proration and what happens to your files once you cancel.
