Request to Recover Missing Draft Files of Admin User

Hello Figma Support Team,

I am the owner of a Figma team that was previously deleted and then restored. After the recovery, one of my admins [redacted] reported that some of their draft files are missing. These files are not visible in their Drafts or in the Trash.

Details:

  • I am the team owner.

  • Admin account: [redacted]

  • The team was deleted and then restored.

  • After recovery, several important draft files belonging to this admin are missing.

Could you please help us check if these missing draft files can be restored from your server backups? These files are very important to our ongoing work.

I’ll pass this information onto the support team to help with their investigation to recover the files. Our support agent, Keyona, will try to reply to you directly again. But if you still don’t receive our reply, I will relay the response as needed. 

You previously mentioned that another Admin didn’t see the missing/deleted files in their Trash, but as the listed file creator for some of these files/projects, have you checked your own Trash folder to see if any of the files and/or projects landed there by mistake?

To ensure you received support’s last reply, I’m adding it here:

“Thank you for providing the links to the missing files. Upon checking, it appears that the files associated with the links you provided are located in a team that is currently still deleted, named "my work."
 
To access these files, the team needs to be restored. Please ensure that the restoration is done within the 28-day window from the date of deletion, as files and projects are permanently deleted after this period and cannot be recovered. The team restore email has just been re-sent.
 
If you have any trouble restoring the team or need further assistance, please let us know, and we'll be happy to help.”

Please check your inbox for the team restore email to restore your team and access the files you listed, and let us know if you run into any further issues.
