Request to enable Figma UI3 and AI features for my account

Hello Figma Support Team,

I hope this email finds you well.

I am writing to request access to the new Figma UI3 and AI features. I am a professional UI/UX Designer with over 3 years of experience, currently working on multiple projects.

I have noticed that several members of my design team have already received the UI3 update, but my account is still on the previous interface (UI2). Since we work collaboratively, this inconsistency is creating friction in our workflow, and I am unable to utilize the new generative tools that my team is using.

Could you please check my account status and consider enabling the new UI3 and AI features for me? It would be incredibly helpful for my daily design tasks.

I understand that you’re still seeing the Old UI and are having trouble accessing AI features.

 

I checked internally, and here’s what we found:

  • UI3 is already enabled on your account. - For reference, you can compare it with the “Old UI design” screenshot in the “Where did a feature move to?” section of the Navigating UI3 
  • Your account has a verified Education status.
  • You have access to multiple Starter and Student teams.
  • In some of those teams, you’re assigned a View seat.

Please note the following:

  • If you’re part of a Figma for Education plan, most AI features and settings are not available.
  • AI tools are only available on paid plans, and your seat type also affects which AI features you can use. If you have a View seat, access to AI tools is limited.

If you’ve reviewed the information above and are still experiencing issues, please share the following so we can look into this further:

  • The URL of a file where you’re seeing the issue
  • The specific AI features you’re unable to access
  • If possible, a screenshot showing that your account is still displaying the Old UI

With this information, we can escalate the issue to the appropriate team if needed.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I appreciate you checking my account status internally. However, I must insist that there is a discrepancy between what your system shows and what I am actually experiencing.

You mentioned that "UI3 is already enabled" on my account, but I can confirm that I am still seeing the Old UI (UI2) completely. The interface has not updated, and I do not have access to the new navigation or layout changes.

To prove this, I have attached a fresh screenshot taken just now.

Here are the specific details you requested:

  1. Evidence of Old UI: Please see the attached screenshot. You will clearly see the old "Hamburger Menu" on the top-left and the previous toolbar design. This is not UI3.

  2. File Context: This issue persists in my Personal Drafts where I am the Owner and Editor. Therefore, the "Viewer Seat" limitation should not apply to the interface layout itself.

  3. File URL: 

     

I understand the clarification regarding AI feature limitations on the Education plan. However, my primary concern right now is receiving the UI3 Interface update, which you stated should already be active.

Please investigate why the update is failing to reflect on my end despite your system saying it is enabled.
