Figma Support Team,

We would like to request a change of the email owner for our Figma account.

New email owner:  (redacted by the moderator due to PII)

Additionally, please ensure that the new email owner has full administrative permissions to manage the account and associated projects.

Hi there, happy to help! If you signed up for Figma using an email address and a password, you can update both directly from your account settings. Here’s how:

  1. Open the file browser and click your profile in the top-left corner to open the account menu.
  2. Select Settings to open the settings panel.
  3. Go to the Account tab to update your details
  4. Click Change email under your email address to update it.
  5. Click Change password tif you’d like to reset your password.
  6. Click Save to apply your changes.

It’s also worth noting that there are a couple of other ways to sign in to Figma (Google SSO and SAML SSO). Your original sign-up method determines whether you’re able to change your email address or password directly in Figma. You can learn more about this here: Manage email address or password

Please also note, if you no longer have access to the email address you originally used to create your account, our Support team can help. In that case, please reach out to Figma Support so they can assist you further.
