Request for Refund – Unwanted Seat Renewals and Accidental Dev Mode Subscription

Hello Figma Support Team,

I’m reaching out regarding two billing issues with my account.

1. Unwanted Seat Renewals
Before my subscription renewal date, I removed two seats because I no longer needed them and did not want to be charged for them again. However, both seats were renewed, and I was charged for them.

I would like to request a refund for these two seats and have them removed from my subscription so I won’t be charged for them in the future.

2. Accidental Dev Mode Subscription
Dev Mode was also enabled or added to my subscription by mistake. I did not intend to purchase it, so I would like to cancel it and request a refund for any charges associated with it.

I would appreciate your help in resolving both issues and adjusting my subscription to reflect the seats and features I actually need.

Thank you for your understanding and support. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
OnMeeting Team

Hey @Safwa, thanks for reaching out!

Because this involves billing details on your account, I can’t look into it or discuss specifics here on the forum for security and privacy reasons. I can see you’ve also reached out through ticket #2197067, and someone from our customer support team will be in touch with you there.

While you wait, here’s some general info on how seats work on the Professional plan, which applies to both things you mentioned.

  • Dev Mode access comes with a Full seat or a Dev seat, and both are paid seats. Go to Admin > People and check the Seat type column to see who has which.
  • You’re billed for all seats on your plan, whether they’re assigned to someone or available. Removing a person from the team, or switching them to the free View seat (view and comment only), makes their seat available for someone else to use.
Annual plans: You’ll see a banner at the top of your Figma admin 30 days before renewal. Click ‘Review seats’ to adjust your seat count for the next term.
Monthly seats: Seats added during an annual term are billed on a separate monthly subscription. Unassigned monthly seats are automatically removed at the next monthly invoice.
  • To help avoid seats being added unintentionally, go to Admin > Settings and open Seat approval settings in the Billing section. The Auto-approve seats option buys a new seat automatically if none is available.

Our Compare and manage seats in Figma and There are additional charges in my Figma bill articles cover this in more detail.

Thanks for your patience, someone from our team should be in touch with you soon!

The banner didn’t appear for me, even though there is another admin working with me. I had checked the system a few days prior—expecting that seats not assigned to anyone would be removed—but the banner never showed up at all.
