I am a student using Figma with a valid education account, but I do not yet have access to the latest updates, including Remove BG, Selector, and Vectorize. Despite being on a student plan, these features are not appearing. Could you please review my account and help me gain access to these beta features? Thank you!

Hi Nouman, thanks for reaching out! At the moment, Figma AI features aren’t available on Education plans. They’re currently supported on paid plans. You can find more details in this Help Center article.
Regarding specific features you mentioned:
- Vectorize is available on paid plans within Figma Design and Draw. Learn more here: Convert static images to vector layers.
- Remove Background and Select Area are Figma Design AI tools available on paid plans across Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Slides, Figma Sites, and Figma Buzz. More information here: Make or edit an image with AI.
If you need broader access to Figma AI tools for your studies, upgrading to a Professional plan would provide access to all Figma AI features, along with a higher monthly AI credit limit. Hope this clarifies!
