Hello Figma Support Team, I am writing to request a refund for an accidental charge on our latest invoice. Recently, a team member's account was unintentionally upgraded to a paid 'Dev Mode' seat. As soon as we noticed this mistake, we immediately downgraded the user back to view-only mode to prevent further charges. Since this was an accidental action and the additional seat was not intentionally utilized for the month, we kindly request a refund or credit for this specific extra charge.

  • Team Name: [Pawdly]
  • Organization/Invoice Number: [Upcoming Invoice, Due date : 8/3]
  • Affected User Email: [redacted by the moderator due to PII]

Thank you very much for your understanding and assistance. Best regards,

Hey Juhee, thanks for reaching out in the Figma Forum and for the detailed explanation! Just to share some context, accidental seat upgrades can happen when a team member performs an action that requires a higher seat type, triggering an automatic upgrade. To help prevent this in the future, I'd recommend enabling seat approval settings: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/15506350302615-Get-notified-when-people-upgrade-to-a-paid-seat

I've created a support ticket on your behalf and the team will be in touch with you directly to review your case. For reference, your support case is 2023694, sent to your email address: juxxxxx.hxxxg@pxxxxy.xxm.
Please note that under Figma's policy, payments are generally non-refundable as outlined in our Terms of Service: https://www.figma.com/legal/tos/ — however the team will do their best to look into your specific situation. Thanks for your patience! 🙏

Update: Good news, the support agent has removed the charge for the accidentally assigned Dev Mode seat and voided the upcoming invoice for the team Pawdly, the adjustment has now been reflected on your upcoming renewal. For the full details, please check directly your support case. I’ve gone ahead and close the topic here, thank you!
