Repeated “Remove Collaborator” Pop-up Loop After Changing Share Settings

I am facing a recurring technical issue while managing collaborators in a Figma file.

Issue description:

  • I add 3–4 collaborators to a Figma file (a mix of Can view and Can edit access).

  • Later, I remove all collaborators one by one.

  • After removing everyone, I change the share setting from “Anyone with the link” to “Invited only.”

  • When I close the Share pop-up, a confirmation dialog appears again asking me to remove the last person I already removed.

  • When I click Remove, the main Share pop-up opens again.

  • As soon as I close it, the same “Remove collaborator” pop-up appears again.

This creates an infinite loop, and the issue does not stop unless I completely close the Figma tab and reopen it.

Expected behavior:
Once a collaborator is removed and the share setting is updated to Invited only, no additional removal pop-ups should appear.

Temporary workaround:
Closing and reopening the browser tab fixes the issue temporarily.

I completely understand how this issue must be impacting your daily workflow. This sounds related to a bug that our team is currently investigating. 

To help us investigate further, could you provide the following?

  1. A link to one or more affected files. View-only access is sufficient, and our team will not make any changes to the file.
  2. Whether the issue occurs in the desktop app, the browser version, or both.
  3. Could you please try clearing the the desktop app cache by following the steps here: Clear the Figma desktop app cache? If you're using the browser, could you try clearing the browser cache?
  4. A brief screen recording showing the steps you take and the resulting repeated confirmation popup.

 
With this information, we will take a closer look at this issue internally. Once we have more information or a resolution, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am Not Using Figma Desktop app. (Only using from Browser).

Just to clarify, I’m not raising this as a complaint at all—I’m very happy with Figma and its overall service. I noticed this behavior occurring consistently across multiple files, which made me feel it could be a technical issue worth flagging so the team is aware of it.

Please let me know if any additional details or testing is needed from my side.
