Refund Request – Unexpected $13.20 Charge After Subscription Cancellation

Hello Figma Support Team,

I would like to request a full refund for an unexpected charge of $13.20 USD.

About a month ago, I subscribed to Figma for approximately $5 per month. However, when I checked my billing information, I noticed that my next payment was scheduled to be over $30, which was significantly higher than the price I originally signed up for.

Since I never agreed to pay such a high amount, I canceled my subscription to prevent any further charges.

Despite canceling my subscription, I was unexpectedly charged $13.20 USD.

I find this billing situation confusing and frustrating, as I did not intend to continue using the paid plan at this price.

I am requesting the following:

  1. A full refund of the unexpected $13.20 charge.
  2. Confirmation that my subscription has been successfully canceled.
  3. Confirmation that no further charges will be made to my account.

Billing Details:

  • Team: Yujin Song's team
  • Amount: $13.20 USD
  • Billing Period: September 9 – October 9, 2026

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue and processing my refund as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Hi @Yujin Song, welcome to Figma Forum.

Thanks for laying this out — I wanted to raise two things that may explain what you’re seeing:

  • Your plan. A canceled Professional plan moves to the free Starter plan at the end of the billing period. In the file browser, a paid team shows a “Professional” label next to its name. If the label is gone, the downgrade has taken effect. More details here: Which plan am I on?
  • The charge. Seats added before a Professional plan downgrades are prorated onto the last invoice. Added seats could also explain the higher upcoming amount you saw before canceling: Upgrade or downgrade your plan → Downgrade or cancel your plan.

Customer Support can confirm the details on your account and review the charge. I’ve opened case 2184498 and emailed you with next steps. Appreciate your patience as we follow up on this.
