Refund request for unexpected Dev Seat charge – Waiting for response on tickets #1966951 and #1971567

Hello,

I am the billing owner of a Professional Team workspace.

I recently noticed an unexpected charge related to a Dev Seat that was assigned to another user on my team. I was not aware that assigning this seat would create an additional paid charge on my account.

As soon as I noticed the charge, I changed the user’s seat back to a free View seat to prevent any future charges.

I have already contacted support and currently have the following tickets:

  • Ticket #1966951
  • Ticket #1971567

I submitted my refund request immediately after the charge was processed, but I have not yet received a response from the billing team.

Could someone please confirm that my request is being reviewed and advise whether any additional information is needed?

I checked with our Product Support team: They've received both tickets, and everything's now merged under: 1966951. They'll follow up there directly once they have an update, and I've added your post for context.

When you move a user from a paid seat to the free View seat, that seat becomes available for someone else to use for the remainder of the subscription period. More on how seats work: Manage seats in Figma.

I don't have access to billing details from here, so keep an eye on the email tied to your Figma profile for updates specific to your account. 🙏🏻
