Hello Figma Support Team,I am writing to request a refund for an unauthorized charge.

I successfully cancelled my Figma subscription before the renewal date, but I was still charged on July 24, 2026, at 02:24 AM.

Here are my account details:

Figma Account Email: [ email redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]

Transaction Date: July 24, 2026 (02:24)

Amount Charged: $16.50

Since I had already cancelled the plan, this payment was made in error. Please review my account history, cancel this transaction, and issue a full refund to my original payment method.

Hey @Nyamo, thanks for reaching out!

I'm not able to look into account specifics here on the forum for security reasons, but I can share a few reasons a charge like this can still go through even after cancelling:

  1. Timing of the cancellation versus the renewal. If the cancellation was submitted close to the renewal date, it's possible the billing run had already started or completed before the cancellation took effect, especially if there's a time zone difference between when you cancelled and when Figma's billing system processed the renewal.
  2. The cancellation step wasn't fully completed. To cancel a Professional plan, you'll need to: locate the Professional team in the file browser sidebar, click Admin, select the Settings tab, and in the Plan section, click Cancel plan. If that last step wasn't finished, for example if only a payment method was removed, the plan stays active and renews as scheduled.
  3. Seat or usage changes before cancellation took effect. Any seat changes made earlier in the billing period can generate a prorated charge on the final invoice, separate from the renewal charge itself.

To get this properly reviewed, could you submit a request through our Support Hub? Our customer support team can check your account and payment history directly and confirm exactly what happened here.
