Hi Figma Support Team,

I am writing to request a refund for an unexpected $154.19 charge on my account, which occurred on August 9, 2026.

My Figma subscription normally costs me around $40 per month, so I was very surprised to see that I had suddenly been charged $154.19 this month.

I recently invited several people to my Figma team so that we could collaborate on a project. However, I did not realize that adding them as collaborators would result in them being assigned paid Full seats and significantly increase my subscription cost. I genuinely thought I was simply inviting people to collaborate on my files, and I never intended to purchase five Full seats or authorize these additional charges.

According to my invoice, I was charged $100.00 for 5 Full seats, as well as a $54.19 billing adjustment, bringing the total to $154.19. I was completely unaware that inviting these collaborators would result in these charges.

I only need my regular subscription and do not need these additional Full seats. As an individual user, this unexpected increase from around $40 to $154.19 is a significant financial burden for me, and I would never have intentionally purchased these additional seats had I understood that they would be billed this way.

I have checked my workspace settings and will remove or downgrade the additional Full seats to prevent any further unexpected charges.

Here are my details for reference:

  • Invoice Number: 8IQVQ1X8-0007

  • Invoice Date: August 9, 2026

  • Total Charged: $154.19

  • Usual Monthly Cost: Approximately $40

Could you please review my account and process a refund for the unintended additional seat charges? I would greatly appreciate your help, as this purchase was completely unintentional and resulted from my misunderstanding of how collaborator seats are billed.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Hi @Lynn Kang — welcome to Figma Forum! Thanks for the detailed write-up.

For your account's security and privacy, I'm not able to access billing details or review refund requests in a public thread. I've opened a case with Figma's Customer Support team so they can take a closer look, and I've passed along the information you shared here. Look out for a message from me in your inbox with your case number: 2066266, and next steps.

For context while you wait: When collaborators are given edit access, they can be assigned paid Full seats, which is the most common reason a bill comes in higher than expected. This article covers why that happens, and how to move users to a free View seat or tighten your seat approval settings to prevent further charges: There are additional charges in my Figma bill.

Our Customer Support team will follow up directly at the email tied to your Figma account once they've reviewed your account. 🙏🏻
