Hi Figma Support Team!

I recently realized that I stored most of my files in an old email that doesn’t exist anymore (my student email that has since been deactivated) and I was wondering if there was a way to recover these files or change the email associated with that account to a new one? Thank you so much!

Hi @chsong , thanks for reaching out! If your old student email is forwarding messages to your new email address, you may be able to recover access yourself. In that case, I’d recommend requesting a password reset for your Figma account, logging in, and then updating the email address in your account settings.

If your student emails are not forwarded, our support team can help manually update the email associated with your Figma account. To do that, they’ll need to first verify your identity to confirm ownership of the account before making any changes. I’ll send you a DM with next steps so you can reach out to the support team securely and get this moving. Hope this helps!

Hi @Celine_

I am facing a similar issue, I am changing my email associated with figma account, however the link figma sending to my new email for confirmation is not working, it says the link is either experied or malformed, can you help?

Thank you, but what if you want to create an animation taht will use Change to. So unfortunately when you try to frame a set of pieces that will constantly lead into one animated object it doesn't let you use "Change to" action, but when you do a set of components it asks you about a frame. How to solve this problem?
