Query on Figma Make AI Credit Limit

On the Professional plan, you get 3,000 AI credits per month, which typically works out to around 50–70 Make prompts based on current estimates. Credits refresh each month, rather than daily. 

Later this year, we’re planning to roll out the option to purchase additional AI credits for power users. In the meantime, credit limits won’t be strictly enforced for Full seats, though they will still apply to View, Collab, and Dev seats both daily and monthly.

We’re still planning to introduce the ability to purchase additional AI credits for power users at some point this year, but no solid date or promises I can provide you.

Hey ksn, I am really stuck with a project because of this AI credit issue. I understand that you don’t have a date for additional AI credits purchase. I am currently on a student plan which has the same limit as the professional plan. If I pay for professional plan, would I be able to use additional 3000 AI credits. 

I am actually on tight deadline here and don’t know what to do next.

Yes, we are planning to introduce the option to purchase additional credits later this year, but for now, limits on Full seats aren’t being strictly enforced.

I’m not entirely sure whether switching from the free Education plan to a paid Professional plan would reset your credits, but I can check internally to confirm that for you. Could you please let me know if you’re still considering that option? I want to make sure we can get you the clearest next steps as quickly as possible.

Yes please check and share. I would actually like to know whether that’s an option, then I would evaluate and act accordingly since it’s a big commitment and I don’t think there will be option to roll back.

Hey ​@Anil_K_Meena! I checked on this for you, and switching from the Education plan to the Professional plan unfortunately won’t reset your AI credits, though it will apply the Professional plan’s credit limits going forward. For now, you’ll need to wait until your credits reset next month.

Hey ​@Anil_K_Meena, I wanted to follow up and apologise for the confusion in my previous reply. After digging into this further, I realised I had given the wrong advice earlier. 

To best option right now to get more AI credits is to upgrade your Education team to a Pro monthly team and use it for as long as you need. Pro teams currently don’t have a hard cap on AI credits, so that would be the best solution for your project under a tight deadline.

As mentioned before, later in 2025, we’re planning to introduce the ability to purchase additional AI credits for power users. Until then, we won’t be strictly enforcing credit limits for Full seats; credit limits for users with View, Collab, and Dev seats will be enforced daily as well as monthly. Credit limits are enforced monthly for Figma for Education accounts.

3500 cred = 50 - 60 prompts is nothing.. not sure I will continue with Figma after the enforcement. Will try Replit. 

hi, for professional package with full seat theres 3000 credits. im down to 0 since yesterday. but it says that its not yet fully enforced until march 18th of this year. so i checked back if i get to continue working on the project today but it doesnt work still. will it get restored after a month?

But 3000 credits are so negligible, I have already ~3-4 times exceeded your limit for my PWA project. 

And I'll tell you more, your rivals offer times more credits then you (although you propose better design-capable models), for example Bolt.new offers 1M tokens in free plan and 10M tokens in its paid Pro Tier plan. Convex AI offers 85K tokens in free tier and 500K tokens in paid Pro plan. They charge nearly the same as you at Figma for Professional Full Seat monthly ($20±5). And they also offer full mobile native app development for iOS and Android, not just a web or PWA development.

So, your customers, who want to develop a SaaS or just a mobile app would prefer other vibe-coding tool then Make, even I want now to switch after you announced you'll be enforcing credit limits starting March 18.

So, I'd propose you you to times widen your limits so customers would have a fully seamless experience in development from a simple web solution to a fully capable SaaS or mobile app in Make.

At least to 5 MB, I'm still stuck on the project to large issue, and nothing seems to fix it..  

And I've tried methods from support.

This is preventing me from promoting and finishing my project.

I'm not a Figma team member, I'm a separate product designer, using Figma Make. I unfortunately can't solve your problem, you should a Figma Team member
